Remedies For Zits
Home remedies for zits are the way to go. There are tons of acne products and medications on the market, but many of them are not all that effective and will cost you tons of money in the process.
Should you pop?
No article on acne would be complete without a quick discussion on popping them, and obviously there are varying opinions on the topic. It’s often extremely difficult to resist the urge to pop, particularly if the pimple is enormous and you have a big event coming up.
A lot of people who do this regularly claim that popping them is actually fun and can be a difficult temptation to resist, but the potential harm is far greater than the benefits of it. If you must, only do so with the whiteheads. If you pop cystic acne it will cause even more damage.
What works?
Now that you know what not to do, here are some methods that are completely natural and have proven to work time after time.
Cucumber
The first home remedy for zits rubbing cucumber on the zits, and leaving it on for 10-15 minutes should do the trick. Afterwords wash it off with cold water.
Toothpaste
Putting toothpaste on the pimple is always at the top of the list for home remedies for zits, and I would strongly recommend you try this. It doesn’t take a whole lot; you just put it on and let it sit overnight; you only need to do this 2-3 times before the acne goes away.
Honey
This is another remedy to try, and make sure the honey is natural and doesn’t have any additives. Lemon juice and mint leaves round out the list of home remedies for zits. All the above have proven to work and just try one at a time and see which does the trick for you.
